Brijesh Bhambi, MD

Dr. Brijesh Bhambi specializes in cardiac and vascular intervention, nuclear cardiology, consultative and general cardiology and holds board certification in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine.  He completed his Internal Medicine Residency from New York Medical College and Cardiovascular Fellowship from Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago.  Additionally, while in Chicago he trained in molecular cardiology for one year.  Dr. Bhambi then continued on to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to finish his Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.  Dr. Bhambi chose Bakersfield as his home in 1992 and established private practice. 

 Dr. Bhambi, as the Founding Member and Chairman of the Board of Bakersfield Heart Hospital (BHH) since 1998, constantly strives to better the lives of the Kern community by employing the latest interventional techniques and conducting leading-edge research in coronary and valvular heart disease.  Additionally, he is the Medical Director of Cardiac Cath Lab at BHH and serves as the Chairman of Centric Health, a clinically integrated multispecialty medical group based in Kern County.  He also serves as the Medical Director of QualCare IPA, a network of 300+ providers delivering quality healthcare to seniors throughout the Kern County.  As the organizational steward for Central Cardiology Medical Center, Dr. Bhambi collaborates with his colleagues to manage complex cardiac cases.  From his numerous clinical research trials and publications, Dr. Bhambi has gleaned advanced treatment options to offer to his patients.  Aside from research publications, Dr. Bhambi is a sought-after speaker in presenting clinical findings at major international Cardiovascular Conferences.

Dr. Bhambi brings a rigid discipline in not only his professional practice but also to his personal lifestyle where he keeps fit through daily weight training and long distance running. He regularly participates in marathons and has a passion for reading during his leisure.  Under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Bhambi, Central Cardiology Medical Center (CCMC) has become the largest premier Cardiology hub for cardiac patients to seek advanced treatment options.
