Julie C. Pruett is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and licensed by the state of California to provide family-centered healthcare to all spectrum of ages. As a Bakersfield native, she attended California State University to earn an RN degree in 1997 and then continued on at CSUB to complete Nurse Practitioner training in 2000.
Since that time, she has accumulated 20 years of nursing experience and education in various areas of patient care (Home Health, Wound Care, Urgent Care, Family Practice, Workman’s Comp, and Public Health). Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems beginning in childhood and continuing through the aging process. She has taught for the Bakersfield College Nursing Program from 2008-2011 and served as a case manager for brain injury patients from 2011-2014.
Julie has a strong nursing skill-set and strives to provide the best health care possible. She believes in building a trusting relationship with her patients and seeks to acquire a comprehensive evaluation of every patient by taking the time to listen and understand their needs in order to structure the most effective health plan and consequently a better outcome.
