Dr. Rasham Sandhu completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Fellowship at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. On receiving his fellowship, he continued to pursue Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training at Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Sandhu is board certified in Echocardiography, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular and Nuclear Cardiology. Reluctant to face more frigid winters of New York, he decided to settle in Bakersfield, CA as an Interventional Cardiologist.
During Residency and Fellowship, Dr. Sandhu had been recognized for excellence in teaching and providing guidance to medical students, residents, and fellows. Also, he was selected as the Chief Cardiovascular Fellow in his final year of Cardiology fellowship. Dr. Sandhu has published various research studies, authored book chapters, and has presented at National Conferences.
Devoted to delivering the best care possible, Dr. Sandhu employs the most current and aggressive treatment plans for his cardiovascular patients. He has performed hundreds of percutaneous coronary interventions resulting in improving the quality of life for his patients.
In his downtime, Dr. Sandhu enjoys hiking and playing basketball with his kids. On vacations, Dr. Sandhu appreciates getting away and visiting different countries, climates, and cultures. Dr. Sandhu immerses in and further fosters the collegial environment at Central Cardiology Medical Center.
