Pulmonary Medicine

Dr. Muhammad Ashraf-Alim completed his Internal Medicine residency from Wayne State University and School of Medicine in 1995. Thereafter, he was accepted to Pulmonary, Sleep Disorder, and Critical Care Fellowship program at UCLA. On becoming Board Certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Ashraf-Alim chose Bakersfield to settle as a private practitioner.

Dr. Ashraf-Alim has served as consultant of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Disorder Medicine at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, Mercy Truxtun Hospital, and Bakersfield Heart Hospital. In his role as Chief Fellow, Dr. Ashraf-Alim was recognized for his ability to guide and mentor residents and medical students. Dr. Ashraf-Alim takes great interest in the management of patients with chronic pulmonary disorders and those in need of critical care in the hospital setting.

Dr. Ashraf-Alim is particularly fond of cricket and attempts in his free time to keep up with major International Test Cricket matches. He enjoys travelling with his family to explore new cultures and cuisines.
