Most patients in a hospital have two goals in mind:
1: Getting better
2: Getting home
Golden State Hospitalists are committed to helping patients achieve those objectives.
We improve the experience and outcome of hospitalized patients by providing dedicated physicians who focus on inpatient care.
What is a Hospitalist?
We are healthcare providers who are devoted to the comprehensive medical care of hospitalized patients. Our team consists of physicians and providers (both nurse practitioners and physicians assistants) who work together to provide excellent inpatient care for our patients. Our physicians have undergone residency training in internal medicine or family medicine, but also have some received some specialty training in other disciplines.
The care we provide consists of diagnosis, treatment, collaboration, and coordination of the patient’s care while in the hospital. We communicate with consultants and other healthcare providers in an attempt to provide the best care possible. We are also involved in the coordination of the patient’s transition to home or other post-acute care setting.
When you or a loved one is hospitalized, you want to know that you will receive the best medical care available. You want a team of physicians who are compassionate, attentive and dedicated to healthcare needs.
Our primary goal as a Hospitalist team is to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to all our patients and their families through the entirety of their hospital stay.
We also strive to communicate to our community and hospital partners who are involved in the patient care in an effort to seamlessly coordinate the patient’s care from the acute care setting out into the community or post-acute care setting.
We are a dedicated team of physicians committed to caring for patients who are hospitalized. We partner with patients' primary care physicians, hospital staff, and other support partners to ensure that each patient receives the highest level of medical care and attention.
Our physicians are experts at getting things done in the hospital environment. We know how to coordinate all the talents and resources of large medical institutions to benefit our patients.
Among our responsibilities:
We are present throughout the hospital stay to provide continuity and maximize efficiency, always keeping the patient’s recovery as our highest priority.
How We Do It

We make every effort to keep our doctor-patient ratio lower than any other hospitalist group in Kern County. We have a hospitalist available to answer calls from nurses 24 hours a day.
Additionally, we have a dedicated staff who handles our physicians’ administrative responsibilities, relieving our doctors of paperwork and allowing them to focus their time and energy on doing what they do best – caring for patients.
We have been very successful in putting together a very strong and committed team of providers. All our providers have extensive hospital experience and majority of them have strong ties to the community.
Our team of hospitalist physicians provides efficient, high-quality care around the clock to patients at various hospitals in Kern County.
