Vinutha Chandrasekaran, MD

Dr. Vinutha Chandrasekaran graduated with a B.Sc. in Biology from University of California, Irvine and went on to complete her medical degree in 2011. Soon after, Dr. Chandrasekaran joined the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Kern Medical Center and she became board certified in Internal Medicine in 2014. Thereafter, she became part of the Golden State Hospitalists group.

With a strong academic background and work ethic, Dr. Chandrasekaran was the recipient of Excellence in Research Award at University of California, Irvine. While in residency, Dr. Chandrasekaran was appointed as the Chief Resident where she led and mentored medical students and residents. Additionally, she participated in Coccidioidal Meningitis research, a highly prevalent illness in Kern County. As a Hospitalist, Dr. Chandrasekaran primary focus is on stabilizing her patients and providing the best outcome on discharge.

Dr. Chandrasekaran takes every opportunity to spend time with her family and appreciates the outdoors as well as different ethnic cuisines.
